Adjudication and Treatment of Narcotic Drug Offenders in Ghana

Narcotic drug trafficking is a criminal and punishable offence in every country the world over. The use of certain narcotic drugs, on other hand (especially marijuana), has been legalised some countries, but under strict regulations. Like as signatory to United Nations Conventions Ghana implemented severe punitive sanctions for drug-related offences deter people from engaging this crime. This paper assesses detail legal regime dealing with adjudication treatment offenders Ghana. It reveals that narcotic-related carry sentences including fines, imprisonment, or both fine imprisonment. However, currently deemed public health issue, may be sentenced facilities rather than Such received either private facility, involves combination evidence-based faith-based approaches.
